Municipal Valuations

What is a Municipal Valuation Roll?

A General Valuation Roll is a complete register of all rateable properties within a municipal jurisdiction, listing each property’s assessed value. Municipalities use this to calculate property rates. Under the Municipality Property Rates Act of 2004 (MPRA), all municipalities must conduct a General Valuation at least every four years, with annual Supplementary Rolls for new or changed properties.
